All programs 1-4 include the following aspects that increase with technique and intensity as you progress:
Build Stability and a Strong Foundation for Cricket
Our simple to follow program layout includes photos, videos and coaching cues for each and every exercise.
The program design will progress you through set and rep patterns for each exercise. Record the date, the weights you lift and any questions you need to ask your coach.
Level 1 - The aim of this program is to build stability throughout the body and teach the athlete basic movement and deceleration mechanics.
The slow and controlled nature of this program will allow the athlete to focus on technique, muscle growth and minimise stress throughout the joints of the body.
Level 2 - This program builds on what was learnt and performed in level 1.
This program will aim to stabilise the athlete through the ankle knee and hip region and continue to build the blocks that are required to produce power and force, whether that is with the bat or with the ball.
Level 3 This is the stepping-stone between our foundational movement patterns and performance.The increasing nature in difficulty of the stability and power sections challenges the athlete’s ability to resist rotation and unwanted movements throughout the trunk when trying to produce force.
Level 4 - This level ensures that the athlete is ready to perform to the best of their ability.
After working hard throughout the previous 3 levels, this program will increase the functional strength, elastic power, acceleration and change of direction abilities of the athlete.
This program is designed around moving fast through all different planes, and giving the athlete the utmost confidence in their body to execute their skills.The program touches on all aspects of athleticism, and our coaches have designed a program that will challenge each and every individual with speed, agility, strength, stability and power specific to cricket!
