The program design will progress you through set and rep patterns for each exercise.  Record the date, the weights you lift and any questions you need to ask your coach.

Level 1 Covers the essential building blocks to a successful AFL season. It is a foundation month where you will minimise stress on your joints and maximise muscular development and size through slow, controlled movements. During this training program you will develop the tools needed to start olympic lifting, while also improving your core and hip stability.

Level 2 Will see you really improve your strength, you will start to lower your reps and focus lifting faster while still maintain technique. You will have progressions for your power training, adapting more advanced movements to see even greater results. You will also notice big increases in speed with improvements in running technique and resisted speed training. 

Level 3 Will emphasise power training using olympic lifting technique to promote explosiveness in the lower body and an even lower rep range to reinforce your max strength. It is critical that training focuses on technique, as master these exercises is no simple task. It will also continue with resisted speed training and anaerobic fitness as these are essential for gameplay. 

Level 4 Is the final stage of training but not the end of training for a committed player. Players that reach this level will see slower growth and will need high level of stimulus to develop. In this stage of training you will be performing olympic lifting exercises with very low rep ranges and high speeds to maximise your power, strength and speed. You will continue building on your fitness base with specific conditioning for your anaerobic capacity.
